It All Started in London's Markets

Hi, I'm Bárbara, and my love affair with upcycling began wandering through London's vibrant markets on a drizzly Saturday morning. As I rifled through rails of pre-loved clothes, I didn't just see old garments – I saw stories, memories, and endless possibilities.

There was something deeply moving about holding a vintage blazer or forgotten band tee, knowing it had once been someone's favourite piece. These clothes had been loved before – and I knew they could be loved again.

When Fast Fashion Felt Wrong

Like many of us, I'd grown tired of the endless cycle of fast fashion. The waste, the environmental impact, the lack of personality – it all felt so wrong. I wanted clothes that told a story, that had character, that aligned with my values of sustainability and individuality.

That's when I realised the solution was literally hanging in front of me in those market stalls.

Breathing New Life Into Forgotten Treasures

I started transforming pieces for myself – adding patches, reimagining cuts, mixing textures and styles. Each customisation felt like I was having a conversation with the garment's past while creating its future. I love the idea that clothes which brought joy to someone once can bring joy to someone new through my personalisation.

When friends started asking about my "new" pieces and wanted their own transformations, Reloved was born.
